Ch-1: That wedding night

I woke up on a cool Friday morning, I thought to myself, "a few days more and Febuary is ending". I was half awake, I don't really know what I was doing, I was just laying there thinking. Thinking of how much I missed Nathan. How much I missed his hugs, his cuddles, his kisses and his breath taking whispers which always gave me endless butterflies to my tummy. It’s been a couple of months now since our breakup and since we ever spoken a word to one another.

I stood and opened the doors of my window, I let the cool breeze take over me and wrap itself around me. Feeling the breeze brushing through my hair, I took in deep breaths and let the air fill my lungs like a balloon and I closed my eyes. Oh how much I wished Nathan to be behind me holding me close to his broad muscular chest and that's when my eyes started sobbing.

Few moments passed, and while I was lost deep in my empty broken thoughts, my mothers voice suddenly shook me up from my sorrowful state.

She shouted, "Bianca!! Are you awake?”

I wiped my tears, closed the window and went out of my room.

"Yes mom! I'm awake now!" I answered.

"Why didn't you come downstairs for breakfast? Did you forget? It’s your uncles wedding tonight! c’mon now you have to get ready or you're going to be late!"

"OKAY OKAY don't worry I’ll be ready by 7 I promise!"

Then I made my way into the kitchen to grab a small bite just to fill in my empty stomach.

Later that afternoon, I went to the salon to get my hair fixed for the wedding. I always hated the part where you sit hours waiting for your turn to come at the salon and me being unlucky, Friday is always the day of the week where the salon gets mostly crowded, especially on afternoons.

After a very long wait, my turn finally came. I just let them curl my hair slightly; I didn't really want anything that was too attractive. I always liked to be on the neutral side.

Hours passed, I went home, did my makeup and wore my dress. I was so inlove with that dress. The front of the bottom part stopped at my knees but at the back it flowed to down my legs. It just looked so flowy and beautiful. Then I looked at my reflection on the mirror and just stared at myself for a second.

My mom saw me looking unhappy of myself, she came in and stood right behind me and said, " c'mon Bianca, baby be strong! I'm telling you Nathan lost a girl he's never ever going to find someone as perfect as her."

She brushed her hand across my hair and said, " I mean a girl as beautiful as you? Is he blind!? Long dark brown hair, fair skin, beautiful eyes, full lips, perfect slim body and sexy long legs but most importantly a sweet and charming personality. What more could he ask for?"

I smiled and said, "ha ha, really cute mom" and then she kissed me on the cheek and spoke in a comforting tone, "Baby he isn't worth a second of your time, your too precious for him.."

And then she looked at the time and started freaking out, "oh god its 7;30!! I promised your grandmother to be there early! We have to move! Quick!"

But on our way to the wedding, my ankle slightly hurted. I didn't really give it much attention because of the excitement I had of seeing my uncle finally getting married!

Once we arrived at the hall, my cousins came to me and when I saw them, I said with a shock, "wow! Look at all the capabilities of an uncles wedding!" We all laughed and then they took me to where we were supposed to be sitting, which was ofcorse near to the stage where my uncle and his wife are supposed to sit.

My cousins looked so elegant and charming. Zenny had a very daring makeup, she looked so mature and sexy, and her dress, black, short and fit which matched perfectly with her makeup. On the other hand, Natalie looked more sweet and feminine, she wore a peachy pink dress which had a V-neck and stopped above her knees. Diana wowed me with those heels, they were so high but the hot pink was so eye catching, I just loved it. Melodys cheeks looked so full, I guess her makeup enhanced her full cheeks. Each one of them looked so amazingly different in a beautiful way.

The hall was dazzling. I always loved this thing about weddings. Songs spreading smiles all over the widespread room, kids running around with their formal gowns and suits and two mothers waiting impatiently to share that lovely moment and learn to finally accept that their baby boy or girl has grown up and that its time to let them go.

I walked around the hall, welcomed the guests and took a few photos of myself along with my cousins. Suddenly, my ankle bent and I could've almost fallen if my cousin Zenny did not grab my hand. The pain got worse and worse.

An hour passed, after the hall was full of guests, it was time that the bride and groom would enter the hall. My uncle walked in looking so handsome. They walked into the hall, The romantic music played and both of them held on to eachother and exchanged smiles and gazes, they looked so perfect for eachother and I just loved the way he kept looking at her, it was so heart melting.

Beautiful moments passed, dinner was served and finally the time to dance has come! At the start my uncle slowed dance with his wife. While they were dancing, suddenly the music changed and they started dancing to funny songs like makarena. It was so hilarious but cute. I told my cousins, "you guys, they're seriously the coolest couple ever" and we all kept on laughing.

Minutes later, Everyone joined in to dance. Zain pulled me to the stage to dance with her but by that time my ankle hurted so bad I couldn't bare it anymore. I walked to my seat trying to lift my weight with one foot.

I looked at my cousins dancing, I felt both pleased and upset. I was happy to see my cousins celebrating but also felt sad that I couldn't join them in the fun. So I just sat there and watched and let a few tears fall as the hour passes by.

Suddenly my cousin andrew showed up and sat right beside me and said: "Look at you! I've never imagined you'd look this much pretty today"

I looked at him and laughed. Then I said: "you don't look bad yourself you knw. By the way you're complimenting me. That's new. What do u want?"

He laughed and said: "hahah, I don't want anything.. Hmmmm so you got yourself all fixed up just to sit and watch us dancing?"

I answered with a frown: "No, its my ankle, its been hurting me all night I can't dance"

He then said: "I've got the best solution for that! Wait right here, don't go anywhere"

I answered with a laugh: "Haha don't worry I'm not going anywhere"

After a while, Andrew came back and asked me to put up my ankle that hurted on his lap and so I did. He wrapped up my ankle to make it less painful and then suddenly the music changed to a slow one!

The DJ shouted: "Everyone find a partner and join the newly wedds slow dance!"

When I heard the DJ I said to Andrew: "Oh alright that's why you're being nice this evening"

He pulled me up and said: "Haha cmon' one dance won't hurt"

I said: "Alright then.. One dance and I hope it doesn't hurt but I don't really know how to slow dance"

As we stepped into the dance floor he said: "no worries ill teach you!"

Andrew took my right hand and kept it on his shoulder, then he held my left hand and kept his other hand behind my back and then said: "Bianca, in a slow dance, the guy always takes the lead. You just have to follow him."

I nodded and we started dancing. I actually enjoyed it. We kept on mocking aunt Becky. No matter where she went she has got to be the one drinking all the wine. So he cracked a few jokes which made me laugh so hard. That's what Andrew's good at. Cracking jokes.

Finally, when the song was over I asked my mom if we could go home because the pain just worsened every minute.

As walked out of the hall gloomily. Andrew said: "going home so soon?"

I answered: "yeah.. Thanks anyways for actually making some part of this evening fun"

He said: "I had to find a partner!!"

I laughed and went out. My heels that night were closed all over my foot and no skin showed, once I got home I threw my heels aside and when I looked at my ankle. I had the shock of my life! It was sore, swollen and huge. The only thing I could do back then was to put on an ice pack and call it a night.....
